Artist
I have two main interests that have steered my entire life, art and surfing. Most of what I do revolves around combinations of these two endeavours. Growing up in South Australia, my family and friends spent a lot of time holidaying on the Fleurieu and Yorke Peninsulas, where the beach and surfing was the main staple of these holidays. As a teenager most of my free time was dedicated to surfing local waves with friends. While continuing my passion for surfing, I studied my other main interest, completing a Batchelor of Visual Art at the University of South Australia and further completing a Teaching Degree. While studying I explored different art fields such as jewellery, digital multimedia, life drawing, until I found my passion for painting.
I have always had a strong interest in the human figure and I love that I can express myself through creating art that focuses on people surfing. My paintings and drawings allow me to continue enjoying the act of riding a wave even when I am not in the ocean.
Currently I juggle my time between family life, teaching, and continuing my own artistic journey through my surf based artwork.
